B i o g r a p h y
After growing up in Bay Shore, NY, Julie attended SUNY Purchase College Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Jacque Trussel, Bonnie Hamilton and Kaori Sato. After a two-year hiatus from singing, Julie returned to music with Amore Opera's 2010 production of Die Fledermaus where she sang the role of Prince Orlofsky. She subsequently performed the roles of Carmen, Rosina in "Barber of Seville", and premiered the role of Tiziana in Christof Bergman's "Piazza Navona" in New York City. Continuing the development of her voice, she began studying with famed voice teacher, Mark Oswald. Under Mr. Oswald's guidance, she has dedicated the last year to transitioning from Mezzo-Soprano to Lyric Soprano. She was most recently a finalist for the Giulio Gari Vocal Competition, The Classical Singer Vocal Competition, the Frankfurt OpernStudio Scholarships, and New Jersey State Opera's Alfredo Silipigni Vocal Competition.
Julie now makes her home in Yonkers, NY but, Bette Davis, her Miniature Dachshund, really makes wherever she may be, "home".
